Zwilling Debuts Kanren Collection At Williams Sonoma

Zwilling J.A. Henckels recently debuted the new Kanren cutlery collection exclusively at Williams Sonoma. The company said the collection is named after the Japanese word for “connection.”

The hand-honed Honbazuke blade is designed to slice, dice, chop and carve with scalpel-like sharpness, stated the company. The 48-layer Damascus-style blade is made of high performance carbide stainless steel, while the triple-riveted Micarta handles feature Zwilling’s signature curved bolster. This, said the company, provides a secure grip and fatigue-free cutting.

The collection is available in a 12-piece set that includes an 8″ chef’s knife, 4″ paring knife, 5 1/2″ prep knife, 8″ chef’s knife, 9″ carving knife, 9″ bread knife, 4 1/2″ steak knives (set of 4) and twin Select kitchen shears, a diamond steel rod and a 12-slot acacia storage block.

Other configurations include a 7-piece easel set, 7-piece block set, as well as open stock. The collection has a suggested retail price range of $165 to $2,028.
