Willamette Valley Kitchen, formerly Carl’s Cuisine The Kitchen Store, is holding a food drive for its local food bank. The store will be collecting donations of non-perishable food until Dec. 24. Willamette Valley will also be donating the proceeds from its holiday appetizers cooking class to the Marion-Polk Food Share.
In addition, patrons of Willamette Valley Kitchen can make donations of $1, $5 or $10 at the register. According to the store, all cash donations will also go directly to the Marion-Polk Food Share.
“Please bring in your non-perishable food donations and help us fill the barrel this holiday season! We filled it twice last year – maybe this year we can make it three,” the store posted on its Facebook page.
Started in 1980 as Carl’s Cuisine The Kitchen Store, the gourmet housewares store was recently purchased by Amy Church. Church re-named the store and refreshed the brand. It hosted a grand re-opening in September 2015.
