Cary, NC-based Whisk Carolina is marking its sixth year in business. The store is celebrating the milestone by hosting a special cooking class for the occasion.
“We’re pulling out all of the stops with a ‘Feast for the [Five] Senses’ cooking class to celebrate! Join us for a delicious and lively night out where you will learn to throw your own party with a variety of well-thought-out dishes on small, creatively garnished plates,” was posted on the store’s Facebook page.
Whisk Carolina, which is owned by Diana and Dan Saklad, opened its doors in 2013 with the mission to create a community of cooks in the surrounding area.
“We look at the big competition and we think we can beat them every day of the week if we are truly who we say we are,” Dan Saklad told Gourmet Insider. “We want to build a community of cooks, and that’s the overarching theme in our business. It’s why we picked our location, and its how we’ve built ourselves into the fabric of the community.”
Whisk Carolina stocks more than 15,000 housewares spanning several categories including cookware and bakeware, small electrics, prep tool, gadgets and more. The 4,200 square foot store also offers up to 35 cooking classes each month, as well as additional services such as knife sharpening and bridal and gift registries.
