Westlake Village, CA-based Westlake Culinary Institute will hold a 9/11 fundraiser for the second year in a row. The event, which will be held on Sept. 11, 2015, will include food made by chef Mary Bergin, director of culinary operations, as well as cooking demonstrations, music, free popcorn and more. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the UFA Widows’ and Children’s Fund of the FDNY.
“It is our yearly commitment to make sure that we, as a community, never forget their sacrifice,” the store wrote on its website.
Westlake Culinary Institute gives cooking classes, sells culinary equipment and tabletop items and has artisan specialty foods. It has been open for 30 years.
