Galveston, TX-based The Kitchen Chick is celebrating its sixth business anniversary. The gourmet housewares retail outlet was started in an 800 square foot store in 2012 and has since expanded into a 10,000 square foot building.
“Everyday I unlock the door to my kitchen shop and smile. I am living my dream, introducing people to my passion and sharing my love of cooking, entertaining and nourishing the people in my life. EVERY DAY,” owner Alicia Cahill posted on the store’s Facebook page.
She continued, “Around this time each year I take time to reflect on my journey, to appreciate the people who have come into my life, to revel in the joy my small business brings and to never forget it is YOU – my loyal customers and friends – who make all of this possible. Saying ‘thank you’ seems insufficient, but I offer it to you sincerely, humbly and gratefully.”
The Kitchen Chick not only carries a full array of housewares, but offers various cooking classes and private events. She was featured in the May/June issue of GOURMET INSIDER and was also recently named to a local 40 under 40 list.
