The Inspired Home Show Rolls Out Programming For Independents

The Inspired Home Show, which is set to take place from March 14 to March 17 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, is investing in programming for the independent retail market.

According to the International Housewares Association (IHA), the program will be held on the day prior to the show opening, March 13. Dubbed Independents’ Day, it will consist of educational and networking opportunities that focus exclusively on how to succeed as an independent retailer in today’s market.

The event will start at 12:45 p.m. and will be held in the Vista Ballroom, S460A in the south building of McCormick Place. Highlights will include:

  • Tom Mirabile, trend expert and founder of Springboard Futures, will discuss how on-trend product selection makes stores a “must shop” experience.
  • Paul Erickson, director of marketing and sales for Management One, will host a presentation covering proven techniques to increase cash flow.
  • Ari Lowenstein, past president of the Gift Sales Manager Association, will dish on merchandising strategies.
