Since the opening of the new Culinary Arts Center at Charlottesville, VA-based The Happy Cook, the independent gourmet housewares store has garnered some extra attention.
In a recent article by local news outlet The Daily Progress, the cooking school is highlighted as an activity that fills the void in the community.
“Being able to offer these classes fills a void in Charlottesville,” Monique Moshier, co-owner, told the local news outlet. “There’s just not a lot of opportunity in Charlottesville to take hands-on cooking classes.”
The center opened in September 2019 and hosts both cooking classes and demonstrations, Moshier said. The store will also be offering kids cooking classes during school breaks.
