Edmond, OK-based The Gourmet Gallery, an independent housewares, gift and specialty food store, has consolidated and changed locations. According to the Edmond Sun, a local news outlet, the store consolidated its two smaller outlets, located in Edmond and Oklahoma City, and opened one larger store at Edmond Market Place Shopping Center in Edmond.
The store confirmed the move on its social media pages.
“Hello there all of our Gourmet Gallery family. We are finally moved and all settled in. We are getting in all of our delicious fall and holiday goodies. So if you haven’t been by, you need to get in here and see our new place,” was posted on the store’s Facebook page.
The store carries specialty foods, gift baskets, cocktail accessories and Riedel Crystal, as well as olive oil, vinegar and Made in Oklahoma products. The retail outlet is owned by Janet McDonald and Cindy Utecht and has been in business for more than 18 years.
Two years ago, the duo launched subscription gourmet boxes. The club, according to the duo, extends the in-store experience to customers’ homes and generates a reliable source of monthly income at the same time.
“It is a great way for us to educate people on specialty foods. This allows them to try new ideas. We usually write and include three to six recipes or just serving suggestions to inspire customers on how else the items can be used,” said Utecht.
