Naples, FL-based independent housewares store, The Good Life, has announced its plans to close the store. It will shutter later this month.
The family-owned store has been in business for more than 50 years and has seen four owners. In 1985, Dave and Debbie Schwarz bought The Good Life from Dave’s sister, Sandi Schwarz Swift, according to Naples Daily News.
Owner Dave Schwartz told the media outlet that the decision to close was influenced, in part, by Hurricane Irma, which had an effect on sales last fall. However, he noted that the couple had been, “doing it a long time.”
The store offered an array of products, as well as cooking classes.
