The Cook’s Warehouse, located in Atlanta, GA, has announced it will be shutting the doors at its East Cobb location. The brand, owned by Mary Moore, has been established for more than 23 years.
“After [more than seven]wonderful years in the East Cobb community, we have made the difficult business decision to close our East Cobb location at Merchant’s Walk. We have thoroughly enjoyed giving you ‘Every Excuse to Cook’ at this location, and we sincerely hope you will continue to shop with us at our Midtown or Peachtree Station locations, or online,” was posted on The Cook’s Warehouse Facebook page.
The brand will now have two locations in the area. It’s Peachtree Station store was opened last year, while its Midtown store is its flagship location.
Travel + Leisure recently named The Cook’s Warehouse a “must-see attraction” in Atlanta.
Updated 3:20 p.m.: In a press release, Moore explained that it was a strategic decision to
close the East Cobb store as it was no longer keeping up with the growth of the brand’s other two locations.
“In today’s challenging brick-and-mortar retail environment, it is critical to remain focused on growth opportunities in strategic markets,” she said. “We will begin the closing sale of our merchandise at this location today and
plan to be out of Merchants Walk by mid-November.”
The Cook’s Warehouse will continue seeking new opportunities to grow the business in other locations, Moore said.
