The Carrot Seed Kitchen Company, a Brookings, SD-based independent kitchen store, recently celebrated its first anniversary in its new location. To mark the occasion, the retailer hosted an anniversary party with treats, giveaway and sales.
Store owner Kirsten Gjesdal, opened the store in 2015 and decided to relocate to the building next door, which is larger than the building that houses the retail outlet now.
At the time of the move, Gjedal had stated on its Facebook page, “This new larger building will allow us to carry more local products, like Free Happy Farm eggs and Stensland Family Farms milk, cheese, butter and ice cream. We’ll also have a larger variety of gourmet foods like dessert mixes, dips, fresh bread, snacks and more.”
