Taylor Kitchen, a brand of Lifetime Brands, is featuring a roster of specialty timers and thermometers for the holiday shopping season from the Taylor Pro line.
The new Digital Expiration Date timer is designed to help consumers track a variety of perishable food items such as leftovers, lunch meat, dairy products, fruit, vegetables, in order to ensure safe food consumption. It can be used in the refrigerator, freezer or pantry. The built-in timer can be programmed to count up or down to 31 days.
A flashing alert displays when the expiration time has been reached to avoid serving or consuming foods past their prime. The timer features a flexible silicone lanyard and suction cups that can be securely attached to a variety of containers. It has an SRP of $14.99.
Taylor Pro’s new Curved Candy/Deep Fry thermometer is designed to fit against the side walls of pans and pots for easier stirring. The thermometer measures between 100 to 400 degrees F with candy reference zones on temperature scale. It also has an oversized cool touch handle and has an SRP of $19.99.
The company also rolled out a new Adjustable Stem Digital thermometer that the company said helps provide accurate temperature readings. The adjustability allows consumers to use the thermometer with a wide range of meats, poultry and fish. It has a plunger-style stem to be used on thicker cuts of meat for leverage where the thermometer acts as a handle.
Meanwhile, the pen-style stem works well for reading thin, delicate foods such as fish. The thermometer has at 1.5 mm FDA step-down probe that allows for the smallest puncture in the food to retain juices and flavor. It also has an ergonomic design with soft silicone accents and an SRP of $14.99.
