Sur La Table has appointed Billy May, a fourth-generation retailer with over two decades of retail, digital marketing and ecommerce experience, as CEO. May will also join the company’s board of directors. He succeeds Diane Neal who retired earlier this year.

May brings marketing, merchandising and operations experience to Sur La Table with a strong focus on customer-facing growth initiatives across multiple platforms. He joins the company from Abercrombie and Fitch (ANF), where he most recently served as SVP and a member of the executive leadership team. At ANF, May was responsible for marketing, eCommerce, omnichannel and corporate expansion initiatives across all brands and geographies. Previously, he helped lead global digital and ecommerce at Adidas Group, and held various leadership roles at Sears Holdings and Lowe’s Companies.
