Chowhound, a digital media outlet that is designed to help food enthusiasts become more knowledgeable about food and drink both at home and while traveling, has named Stonewall Kitchen‘s cooking school one of the 11 places worth traveling to for the cooking classes alone.
The cooking school marked its 10th anniversary this year and is part of the company’s York, ME-based campus, which includes manufacturing facilities and a housewares store.
The business started with founders Jim Stott and Jonathan King setting up a table at a local farmer’s market in New Hampshire to sell some of their homemade goods. Now, Stonewall Kitchen distributions shelf-stable goods throughout the U.S. while maintaining 10 company stores that also carry gourmet housewares. The company has been in business for 27 years and recently acquired Tillen Farms.
