Sobremesa is casting a spotlight on its artisan made trenchers, tapping into the multi-functional benefits of the wooden goods.
According to the brand, the large trenchers are made by a cooperative group in Antiqua, Guatemala and carved from a single piece of wood. The wood is ethically sourced from car caro wood and has rounded edges to make for a comfortable grip.
The brand also offers a smaller sized trencher, also carved from a single block of wood. The small size trencher is made by artisans in Peru who use reclaimed wood from trees in the Amazon forest.
In addition to serving food, the trenchers can be used to allow dough to rise, used as a planter for flowers or as a centerpiece/storage spot for fruit.
