Smithey Ironware Debuts Carbon Steel Skillet

Smithey Ironware has launched into a new category of cookware with the debut of its new carbon steel skillet, which is available for a limited time.

According to the company, the new skillet is inspired by American blacksmith designs of the 18th and 19th century. in collaboration with Charleston artisan and blacksmith, Robert Thomas, the new 12-inch skillet is hand-forged and pre-seasoned. Additionally, each skillet is visually unique while sharing fundamental design elements including a handle design inspired by traditional fire tools and the signature Smithey 3-holed helper handle. The company also noted that these skillets are also individually numbered.

The carbon steel skillet carries a suggested retail price of $250.

Smithey Ironware also recently brought its new 10-inch chef skillet to the market as well. The company, noted Will Copenhaver, vp/sales and marketing, is gearing up for continued expansion.
