Royal VKB has won the Grand Prix Award for two of its new kitchenware designs, the Boomerang Wok and the GEO Dish Drainer.
The award was presented at the recent Maison & Objet Fair in Paris. The consumer jury of the Grand Prix panel chose the Boomerang Wok for its “design and practical aspect.”
The wok’s design includes a patented cupped edge so ingredients in the wok can be turned with a simple movement of the spatula. No lifting is required and the ingredients always end up back in the pan. Nikolaï Carels crafted the Boomerang Wok for Royal VKB.
The jury chose the GEO Dish Drainer, designed by Jorre van Ast, for its “design and future sales potential.” The mat on the GEO Dish Drainer includes subtle height differences to ensure that all the water drains away. A compact scale ensures that the dish drain takes up minimal space and is easy to store.
