Rhubarb Kitchen And Garden Shop Sharpens Knives For Charity

Skaneateles, NY-based Rhubarb Kitchen & Garden Shop recently held a charity knife sharpening event.

According to the store, it raised $250 and all proceeds will be donated to the local Skaneateles Food Pantry. On the retailer’s Facebook page, owner Ellen Kluge commented, “Thank you to everyone who brought in their dull knives and a very special thank you to Megan Rich, from Wüsthof, for sharpening ALL those blades! It was a great evening and we were thrilled to be able to host this event! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your generous donations!!”

The store, owned by Kluge, is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. It was founded in 1992 by Michael and Barbara George. Rhubarb carries a variety of merchandise including cookware, gadgets and tools, cookbooks, as well as specialty foods and gardening supplies.
