Holly Mangelsen, owner of two independent housewares retail stores including Rochester, MN-based Cook’s Pantry and Siren, WI-based Acorn Pantry, has been profiled by Haven Magazine‘s Women In Business section.
In the news story, Mangelsen addressed how she fell into the housewares arena with the purchase of Acorn Pantry, what she leaned about her customer needs versus her product mix and customer service.
“When I hire people or talk to them, I tell them, ‘This is not corporate. I don’t want it to ever feel corporate, I want you to go out of the way to help someone, whether they’re looking for directions to Mayo Clinic or they came in because they want to buy cookware’,” she said.

Mangelsen was also named a GOURMET INSIDER® All-Star retailer in 2016.
