Whether you’re a regular attendee at the International Home + Housewares Show (which is set to become The Inspired Home Show in 2020), or you haven’t yet made the decision to attend, scouring the entirety of the show for new and innovative products – or getting the information about what’s new – isn’t always the easiest.
That’s why, for the second year in a row, Gourmet Insider put together a panel of retail scouts that browse the show floor looking for goods that catch their eyes and, they believe, would fit well in an independent retail setting.
On the retail panel included 2015 Gourmet Insider All-Stars Dan and Diana Saklad from Cary, NC-based Whisk; 2018 Gourmet Insider All-Stars and 2019 gia winners, Karen and Brad Hughes from Artichoke in Cincinnati, OH; Kate and Brad Moore, owners of Lawrence, KS-based Delaney & Loew; and Jessica Jones, owner of The Kitchen Nashville in Nashville, TN.
Click through the gallery to check out what they found at IH+HS 2019 and why they are excited about it. In addition to what is shown, other picks of the retailers include the Kyocera dried tea and herb mill; Chef’n rotary cheese grater; Chef’n coffee scale; Fellow’s new stovetop tea kettle; and OXO’s new box grater. Additionally, several retailers pointed out that the Wüsthof re-brand was a highlight of the show.
Want to find out what else is poised to sell? Come back next week when we debut our 2019 Shopping The Show with Angela Skogen video. In this video, the owner of Williston, ND-based Cooks On Main and 2018 Gourmet Insider All-Star will showcase three major consumer trends and products that fill those market demands.
