After 43 years in business, Everything But The Kitchen Sink, a Hockessin, DE-based gourmet housewares store, will close its doors in January 2021.
Everything But The Kitchen Sink stocks tabletop items, kitchen tools and gadgets, cookware, bakeware, furniture, bedding and more. The 15,000 square foot store is owned by Dan and Missy Lickle, who opened the store in 1977.
The following statement was posted on the retailer’s Facebook page, “After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Everything but the Kitchen Sink this coming January 2021. It has been our pleasure to serve and delight you for almost half a century. What began as a family business quickly turned into much more, a community hub, a shopping destination and a place that provided countless hours of enjoyment for staff and customers alike.”
In addition, the owners stated that for the remainder of the year, it will continue to accept special orders with 50% down plus shipping.
The Lickle family also owns The Back Burner and The Back Burner To Go eateries, which will remain open. The restaurants are located in the same shopping center as Everything But The Kitchen Sink.
