Hip Enters Marketplace With Design Friendly Hydration Goods

Hip, a new housewares manufacturer, is infusing design into new products such as water bottles, coffee cups and lunch totes to tackle the issue of single-use and disposable plastics.

The company launched into the marketplace with its bottle, coffee and glass cups and straws, with new products coming down the pike. All of the products are created with a focus on reusable materials and to help provide new solutions to single-use and disposable plastics that have a different look, feel and touch than other offerings in the market.

The housewares and tableware products are said to be well designed, functional and are made of safe materials. For example, the initial product that launched, the Hip bottle, is designed to resemble a flask and is made of clear, BPA- and BPS-free Tritan plastic.

This, said the company, gives the 22-ounce flask glass-like clarity and makes it lightweight. The company designed the bottle to be slim so it can be tossed in a handbag or briefcase easily. It also features a vibrant colored silicone band at the bottom and a cap and loop, which offers a tactile touch for easy gripping.

Hip is also committed to helping to support Healthy Harbor, an organization the uses new technology to harness the power of water and sunlight to intercept single-use plastics from local waterways.
