Smithey Ironware, a cast iron and carbon steel cookware manufacturer based in Charleston, SC, is expanding its manufacturing capacity and will also look to hire new team members.
Smithey Ironware will be making a $2 million investment into its manufacturing facility, allowing the company to expand its output. Additionally, Smithey noted that the expansion and subsequent production ramp-up will lead to the hiring of an additional 22 members of the company.
Located at 1465 Pipefitter Street in North Charleston’s Navy Yard, the company’s new facility will allow additional equipment, office space and employees, while serving as the company’s headquarters.

The company recently debuted its 10-inch Chef Skillet as well as a special edition carbon steel Farmhouse Skillet.
