In October of 2016, Mint + Basil opened its doors in Fargo, ND. Owned by Donny and Hope Goldammer, who were already entrepreneurs in their own right, the housewares-focused store stocked cookware, bakeware, kitchen tools, gadgets, cookbooks, salts, spices and more, but also carries furniture, greeting cards and candles.
However, in May 2018, the duo decided to combine Hope Goldammer’s clothing store, Lot 2029, with Mint + Basil to create a lifestyle-focused store under one brand umbrella and integrated all of its store locations to the new format. Now, the stores combine clothing with housewares, giftables, home entertainment items, candles and shelf-stable foods.
