Whisk Carolina, located in Cary, NC, is helping used cookware see new life through a cookware recycling program. The independent gourmet housewares store is holding the promotion throughout the month of March.
The cookware recycling program, noted the store’s Facebook page, allows customers to bring clean, used cookware into Whisk for a 20% discount on new cookware. However, the used cookware will then be given to a family in need. The recycle/discount program includes any cookware that can be used on the stovetop, according to the store.
The store has been an industry standout since opening five years ago. Owned by Dan and Diana Saklad, the couple were named GOURMET INSIDER® All-Stars in 2015 for their desire to create a community of cooks in the Triangle region of central North Carolina. They followed that up with a gia Award and were named the best kitchen store by Wake Living Magazine.
