Sioux Falls, SD-based Plum’s Cooking by Simply Perfect has reopened. The store has been renovated by its new owner, Penny Klinedinst, a neighborhood retailer and friend of Plum’s previous owner, Caroline Peterson.
In April, Klinedinst purchased Plum’s from Peterson, who retired after 30 years of running the business. The two remain close and collaborated on the renovation.
“We’re doing a lot of things to the store that Caroline wanted to do but wasn’t able to find the time,” Klinedinst told Gourmet Insider.
For example, Klinedinst said that the renovation adds 500 square feet to the store’s original 2,000 square feet of space. In addition, Klinedinst added a new teaching kitchen where the store will partner with local chefs for cooking classes, a new endeavor for Plum’s.
