Plum’s Cooking, located in Sioux Falls, SD, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To mark the milestone, the retailer is hosting an open house celebration on Sept. 29 and 30.
According to owner Penny Klinedinst the store’s founder, Caroline Peterson, will be a special guest at the weekend event.
“If we would have not purchased Plum’s last year we would not be celebrating Caroline’s 30th year. But because we saw her talent and what she brought to the community, we chose to continue the tradition. What a privilege and honor it is to do so,” said Klinedinst.
The store will be hosting product demonstrations with reps from various companies, and offering customers food, drinks and 30% off select products. There will also be raffle prizes as well as gifts for the first 30 customers each day of the event.
In addition, Klinedinst will reveal a new a private label product line.
“We are excited for Caroline to see what we’ve been working on for months, as it is named in her honor. So proud of her and us in our accomplishments this past year,” she said.
Klinedinst purchased Plum’s Cooking from Peterson, who retired after 30 years of running the business, in 2016. The two remained close during the transition and also and collaborated on the store’s recent renovation.
