Perennial Accents Featured On Local News Program

Perennial Accents, a St. Joseph, MI-based independent gourmet housewares store, was recently featured on Chicago Tonight, a local news program.

According to the retailer’s Facebook page, owner Kellye Wilson was part of a feature highlighting the struggles various stores in the Chicago area were facing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During the segment, Wilson explained how her business is dependent on customers walking in and purchasing something that catches their eye, something that has been curbed by social distancing and store closings.

Wilson took over the reins as owner, late last year. The store was founded and operated by Linda Frazee and her daughters Vicki Campbell and Sheila Banasik. Founded in 1995, Perennial Accents began as a business growing perennial plants and drying them for accent pieces in the home.

The store offers a wide selection of gadgets and equipment for the kitchen, as well as a variety of gourmet foods with a focus on those made in Michigan. The store also offers culinary classes and sells home and garden decor as well as bath and body products.
