Paula Deen Emphasizes Healthy Eating In New Cookbook

Paula Deen has released her new cookbook, titled Paula Cuts The Fat: 250 Favorite Recipes All Lightened Up. The cookbook contains lightened up versions of 50 of her classic southern recipes, plus 200 new recipes. Some of the recipes the southern cook has re-vamped include her peach cobbler, cheesy mac, Memphis dry rub ribs, nutty sweet potato balls and Savannah gumbo. New recipes include kale Caesar salad, baked coconut shrimp and a flourless chocolate fudge cake.

“It is not about dieting – it is about living a healthier life. You can enjoy everything in moderation. It’s amazing how little changes can give you big results,” said Deen. “You don’t have to lose any of the delicious tastes and flavors that we all love. This book will help you achieve your goals.”

The cookbook also includes tips from Deen on how to reduce calories while still maintaining flavor. The tips are sprinkled throughout the cookbook.
