Pleasanton, CA-based Pans On Fire is teaming up with TriValley Haven, a community resource serving adults and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or homelessness, to feed local families this Thanksgiving.
The store is taking donations until Nov. 22 in hopes of feeding 900 families in need. The donations will go to families registered to receive a Thanksgiving turkey or grocery cards to help subsidize their holiday meal.
Owned by Linda Wyner, Pans On Fire has been up and running since 2006. The store has an array of gourmet housewares, holds cooking classes and, according to Wyner, a staff that listens to what the customers want.
