Industry veterans Thompson Lange of Homescapes Carmel and David Gooding of Juliska will join the advisory board of the New York International Gift Fair, effective with the summer market. Comprised of both attendees and exhibitors, the board meets semi-annually with show management to offer strategic feedback about the gift and home market in general and the NYIGF in particular.
Lange is the co-owner and buyer for Homescapes Carmel, one of his two home furnishings and garden stores offering indoor and outdoor furnishings. Gooding is the founder of Juliska, a manufacturer and retailer of fine tabletop products.
“Thompson and David are dynamic personalities with diverse backgrounds and businesses,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and svp/GLM. “We welcome their unique viewpoints about the industry and NYIGF’s positioning.”
Other board members include Enrico Bressan of Artecnica, John Gilvey of Hudson Beach Glass, Walter Lowry of TableArt, Sallie Stutz of the Brooklyn Museum Shop and Dawn Sweltzer of Notre Monde.
