A growing emphasis on global sourcing and products is reflected in NY Now’s largest ever mix of international exhibitors. According to the company, 515 individual international exhibitors from 65+ countries worldwide will be participating in the summer 2015 edition of the market to be held August 15-19 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
The international collection of exhibitors will be featured throughout the market’s three collections – Home, Lifestyle and Handmade – and will bring a mix of new, returning and charter organized pavilions as well as individual international exhibitors. A total of 24 country pavilions and groups will represent 17 countries at the market, with the largest collection of those presented as part of Artisan Resource, a first-of-its-kind market offering US-based volume importers, direct import retailers, wholesalers and designers the opportunity to meet with international artisanal producers from around the world.
“This summer, we are making it easier than ever for NY NOW attendees and exhibitors to source globally while shopping locally,” said Randi Mohr, NY Now co-director and vice president.
In addition to the United States, 65 countries are represented at NY NOW: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Madagascar, Mali, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Pakistan, Palestinian Territory, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Tanzania, The Himalayas, The Philippines, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
