Nielsen-Massey, manufacturer of shelf-stable spices and extracts, has added a new vanilla bean paste to its lineup. The new paste, said the company, is made from the company’s Tahitian pure vanilla extract, along with real bean specks from the vanilla pod.
According to the company, the vanilla paste is a favorite among pastry chefs for its distinctive flavor and is a must-have in any kitchen, as the thickness of the paste allows for a deeper infusion of vanilla flavoring without having to water down batters and sauces.
Currently, the paste is available in both 4- and 32-ounce quantities.
The company debuted its lemon paste last year.
