Nibblins will welcome retired White House Pastry Chef, The Honorable Roland Mesnier, Sara Moulton and former White House Executive Chef, The Honorable John Moeller throughout the month of June.
On June 3 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Chef Roland will speak about his life and career as the longest serving White House Pastry Chef. According to Nibblins, Chef Roland has won 18 Gold medals, four Silver and three Bronze for his pastry creations and competitions around the world. In addition to the discussion, samples of recipes from his book, “Dessert University by Chef Roland,” will be available and a copy of the book is included in the $45 fee.
Then on June 16 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sara Moulton will conduct a cooking demonstration, which is sponsored by Chantal Cookware. Nibblins said that Chef Moulton will prepare recipes from her latest book, “Sara Moulton’s Home Cooking 101” including a warm shrimp salad, fusilli with Italian sausage and banana fosters crepes.
Chef Moulton is a protégée of Julia Child and has appeared on the Food Network, Good Morning America, PBS and has served as executive chef of Gourmet Magazine. Nibblins is offering tickets for $75 for just the cooking class or $100 for the class and a copy of the cookbook.
On June 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nibblins will host former White House Executive Chef John Moeller as he demonstrates recipes from his new cookbook Dining at the White House – From the President’s Table to Yours.
Chef Moeller’s menu will include herb crusted chicken with a white wine butter sauce and his signature warm flourless chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. Chef Moeller joined the White House kitchen in 2005 and was Executive Chef to President H.W. Bush, President William Clinton and President George W. Bush.
Nibblins stated that the ticket is $60 for just the cooking class or $90 for the class and a copy of the cookbook.
