Developed by entrepreneurs, the Meater smart meat thermometer has launched on The Grommet. The thermometer works in tandem with an app to ensure proper temperatures while cooking meat and protein, the company said.
The wireless stainless steel probe reads the meat’s temperature and the ambient temperature in a grill or oven. A consumer can choose what they are cooking, such as steak or chicken, and the Meater will send alerts, estimated cooking times, and warnings to their phone.
Consumers can use “Guided Cook” and “Custom Cook” modes, where they can manually select a target temperature. Additionally, alerts can be customized based on the rise or fall of the internal and ambient temperatures.
The Meater smart meat thermometer has a suggested retail price of $69.
