Martha Meade Kaemmer, co-founder of Cooks of Crocus Hill, passed away recently. She was 73.
According to her obituary, Kaemmer and her sister, Mary Rice, started the business that is now known as Cooks Of Crocus Hill, based in Minnesota. Her original store, named Thrice on Grand Avenue, was opened in the early 1970s. Now, the gourmet housewares retailer has three locations in Minneapolis and several pop-up locations throughout the state as well.
The store is now owned by Karl Benson and Marie Dwyer.
