Hanover, NH-based Main Street Kitchens is finding a home away from Main Street. The kitchen store, owned by husband and wife duo David and Kaitlyn Barrette, is moving.
“We are moving off of Main Street because the rents, which were already tough for us before the pandemic, are even tougher now and we are trying to lower our overhead due to uncertain times we live in now and the uncertain times ahead,” David Barrette told local news outlet Valley News.
The new location is officially set to open on Saturday and will include cookware, cutlery, equipment, specialty foods and other best sellers.
However, the move into the smaller space doesn’t mean the couple is downgrading. In fact, they are looking to expand, having purchased a larger space in Hartford, VT to open a second location.
The couple has owned Main Street Kitchens since 2018 after purchasing it from the previous owners.
