Main Street Kitchens, located in Hanover, NH, will be seeing some changes as it has been sold to new owners. Previous owners, Marv and Mary Schouten, have announced their retirement after running the business for 21 years. After listing the business for purchase in late 2017, they sold the business to Kaitlyn and Dave Barrette who have already taken over the retail store.
“We feel very fortunate to be buying this amazing kitchen store from Marv and Mary Schouten as they are retiring,” Dave Barrette posted on the store’s Facebook page. “Main Street Kitchens has been an icon in Hanover since 1997 and we will continue running it as a kitchen store while making some new changes to compliment the premiere kitchen lines that are already carried.”
According to local news outlet Valley News, Barrette said they plan to introduce light food preparation classes in the fall, such as how to prepare a cheese or charcuterie platter or the proper skills in handling knives and other cooking tips.
