Lékué is making it easier for consumers to add whole grains and seeds into their diet with its newly redesigned quinoa and rice cooker. The product is meant to be used in the microwave and the plastic base doubles as a serving dish.
According to the company, its redesigned colander works to drain the water with not only quinoa, but other small grains such as millet, amaranth, bulgur, wheat berries and oats as well as different types of rice.
The product is backed by a 10-year warranty and retails for $25, the company said.
The company offers and array of microwavable cookware, including a microwave corn cooker.
