Virginia-based independent housewares store, Ladles and Linens, was recently featured on TheScoutGuide.com, as part of a fall cocktail roundup. The digital and print media outlet is devoted to sharing local, independent businesses with locals and travelers.
In the write-up, owner Sarah Nicholas shared her Hot Coconut Milk Punch recipe, which was recently part of the retailer’s online Ladles and Linens Cooking School lineup. Nicholas described the cocktail as a unique take on a fall cocktail that features bourbon, brown sugar, vanilla and coconut milk.
“I always describe it as a cocktail version of your favorite comfort food. It will give you all the fall “feels” and is an ideal substitute for spiked eggnog,” she told the publication.
Nicholas took over the store in 2017 from Tina Miller, the previous owner. Since then, she has developed an Instagram strategy, celebrated the grand re-opening of the store under her management and also gave the three-store chain a brand refresh.
Ladles and Linens also has store locations in Lexington, VA and Richmond, VA. The original store was started 21 years ago.
