Kuhn Rikon has introduced the 3-in-1 Snips tool that includes a built-in bottle opener and a box cutter edge. According to the company, the new tool has self-sharpening, stainless-steel blades with a spring-loaded handle.
The ultra-sharp blades can cut fresh herbs from the garden and also cut through clamshell packaging or poultry bones, the company said. The tool can also be used as a box cutter when the shears are locked. The sharpened tip on the shears (on the loop side) slices through packing tape, cardboard boxes and cable ties.
The 3-in-1 Snips are made for left or right-handed use, with an ergonomically curved handle for comfort. The blades self-sharpen as they rub together during use and a protective sheath is included for safe storage.
Kuhn Rikon’s 3-in-1 Snips come in red or black and has a suggested retail price of $25. It is available for shipping in August 2017.
