Burlington, VT-based Kiss The Cook is celebrating 25 years in business with an array of month-long events. It recently kicked off the festivities with a Wüsthof knife event featuring demos and special deals for the store’s customers.
Upcoming anniversary events include Customer Appreciation Day on Oct. 8, where the store’s first 100 customers will receive a free gift with their purchase. On that day, all customers will receive a coupon for free knife sharpening as well.
The store also said it will host its annual anniversary sale from Oct. 14 to Oct. 16. It will offer customers 20% off merchandise storewide and will raffle off prizes. Then, on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, the store will be donate 10% of its sales from that weekend to the local Vermont Foodbank.
At the end of the month, the store said it will be participating in Trick-Or-Treat Street with the Church Street Marketplace on Oct. 26th from 4 p.m. to 6:30pm. During this event, Kiss The Cook will have treats for the kids and adults in the spirit of Halloween.
As for the new Kiss The Cook website, store owners Luke and Ashley Wight stated on the shop’s Facebook page that the site includes a selection of its product offerings and a new blog. The blog features recipes, product reviews, personal experiences, information about store events and more.
Kiss the Cook has been a family owned business located on the Church Street Marketplace since the early 1990’s. It was originally founded by Marie Bouffard and Mike Soulia, who operated the store for more than 20 years. In 2014, the Wights purchased Kiss the Cook.
