Darrin Johnston, managing director of Meyer Corp. U.S., will be resigning his position as of June 1, the company said.

Johnston is working closely with the company’s executive team, including chairman and CEO, Stanley Cheng, and group COO, Vincent Cheng, on transition plans which include the appointment of a new managing director after a search is concluded.

“We greatly appreciate all of Darrin’s hard work, his many achievements during his tenure here, and his unwavering commitment to excellence at all levels of our company. We will greatly miss Darrin, but we also wish him and his family happiness and success in his new endeavors,” said Cheng.

Johnston started his career with Meyer Corp. in 1997. He was promoted to managing director in 2015, after spending time as the company’s svp/sales. During his tenure, Johnston was tasked with all sales, marketing, and operational departments for the U.S. and all Latin American countries.

“Meyer has been a very significant part of my life, spanning 22 years,” said Johnston. “I cannot thank Stanley and this organization enough for the opportunities they have afforded me. I’m looking forward to further leveraging all of my skills during this exciting time in the housewares industry and beyond.”
