Jars Céramistes, a French manufacturer of tabletop and dinnerware products, has established Jars USA, to manage and distribute its products in the United States. Jars USA is based in New Castle, Delaware and is a sister company to Emile Henry USA.
Jars Céramistes dates back to 1857 and the company’s tableware is designed to meet demands of both household and food service industry use. For 2019, the company is introducing nine artisanal dinnerware collections to American consumers.
According to Jars USA, the ceramics are handcrafted by artisans in the south of France and come in vivid, as well as neutral colors with a vintage look mixed with a modern flair. The Jardin de Maguelone, the Reflets de Maguelone and Reflets D’Argent collections feature uneven edges and soft matte finishes. The collections offer a wide palette of colors.
The Plume, Plume Cristallisation, Tourron Natural, Tourron Traditional and Vuelta collections feature design aesthetics that are meant to elevate a table setting for a festive occasion. These refined and contemporary collections, said the company are available in either smooth or crackled glass-like glazes and are said to be as durable as porcelain. The non-porous surface is said to not stain or scratch.
