Home Entertaining Goods To Be Showcased At Atlanta Market

Gourmet store buyers attending the summer gift markets will discover a variety of products to not only set the table, but to create a home entertaining statement within their store. Everything from beaded napkin rings and glittered tea warmers to granite cheese boards and marble coasters will be showcased. Patterns found range from the rustic to the whimsical. Seasonal and everyday giftable serveware and trays will also be showcased.

GOURMET INSIDER previews just some of the introductions that will be featured at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.


Annieglass is expanding its handcrafted, made in the U.S. glass serveware and dinnerware collections. The company has added an extra large size to its Grove plank cheese boards. This redwood tree-inspired line features wood grain and knot designs incorporated into the glass. The Elements line of organically shaped trivets and trays, made from Annieglass glass scrap, now features charcuterie boards available in 24K gold or platinum.

Annieglass is also adding a wine cooler, available in gold or platinum, to its Ruffle glass collection. The Roman Antique line now features a square cake server, while its holiday Evergreen collection now has a 16-inch oval server.


Arte Italica will debut new elegant dinnerware and expanding its holiday tableware selections. The company said that its Semplice dinnerware collection features a simple, sophisticated design with elegant gold bands hand painted in 24 karat gold. The charger is hand etched along with the gold rim and can be layered with Arte Italica’s Vetro gold or other collections.

For the holiday season, Arte Italica will feature its Rosa Glass collection. Each piece features a red swirl design molted into the glass. Eight new pieces join the company’s holiday Natale collection, each designed with entertaining in mind. Its Bella Natale features evergreen boughs and snowy trees on the winter white background, which layer in with its Bella Bianca collection.

Arte Italica will also expand its Giorgio barware collection to include a double old fashioned and highball glass, as well as a wine coaster and ice scoop.


Among Badash’s offerings will be its Ruffles European mouth blown, lead free large centerpiece bowl, which can be used as a punch or fruit bowl. The company is also showcasing looks in white alabaster glass, such as a four-piece set of serving plates and a 12-inch bowl.


Beatriz Ball expands her colorful and casual Vida Collection with the new Organic Pearl assortment in “luxury” melamine. Featuring rims of cascading pearls, the pieces include trays, bowls and platters in five vibrant color ways. It is also debuting a new Mid-Century Collection of metal serving pieces and a holiday giftables collection, with each gift item individually boxed and priced at $50 or less.


Demdaco is debuting Gatherings, a new collection of entertaining accessories “celebrating food and fellowship,” according to the company, by incorporating uplifting sentiments into the design of each functional piece. Organic shapes give the serving pieces and textiles a natural, artisanal style. Pieces are crafted from mango wood, hammered metal, ceramic and cotton/linen blends featuring inspiring words that have been printed into each product.


The introduction of the Individual Bistro Crescent Plate rounds out Fiesta’s collection of bistro pieces, including the three-piece Bistro place setting, serving bowls and tapered mug. The Crescent Plate can be used for serving side dishes, dips, nuts and appetizers, the company suggested. The plate is available in all 15 Fiesta colors.


Lenox Corporation, under its Dansk brand, will showcase its Niklas wood collection, featuring a Scandinavian design. Made of acacia wood with a walnut stain. Dansk’s new Moby barware collection features a combination of aluminum in a black textured finish, stainless steel, and wood.


The Gourmet Grillware Bear Griller from Lifetime Brands is said to offer consumers a more convenient way to grill delicate food such as fish filets or items that tend to easily drop through the grates, such as vegetables. The surface of the grill pan is said to distribute heat uniformly, eliminating hot spots and allowing food to cook evenly. It can withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees F without damaging the finish. Other new Gourmet Grillware items include an oval baker and saucepot. Lifetime is also featuring a new nautical collection from Wilton Armetale.


Mepra’s Diamante flatware pattern is an Italian made and designed pattern made of 18/10 stainless steel. It is inspired by the tradition of diamond cutting. It features a full range of accessories and is available in 21 different finishes.


Oggi is highlighting its copper plated stainless steel Pineapple cup with straw. It holds 12 ounces and features a textured body said to give it a realistic pineapple look and feel. Flip the top over, and it converts to a decorative stand. It can be used for serving a wide array of cold cocktails.


Sea Stones will showcase its granite rotating Lazy Susan. The company collects its granite from New Hampshire-based fabricators who provide the stone in a range of colors with no two identical, the company said. This natural granite server is cut and finished by hand, to create a chiseled edge, in Sea Stones’ NH studio. With a ball bearing incorporated into the design, the Lazy Susan can be used as a trivet; a cold plate for cheeses, appetizers, and desserts; a cutting board; a candle stand; or for any items the consumer would like to have accessible with an easy twirl, the company suggested. The server has felt feet to protect furniture, and can be pre-chilled in the fridge or freezer, or warmed in ovens up to 120°F to keep things warm.


Sophistiplate is adding to its Italian-made disposable paper plate line, and will new launch “elegant and modern” disposable flatware. The flatware will accompany its Vichy Taupe and the Pearly White Classic Gold dinnerware sets, both of which were intentionally designed for special fall occasions– including holidays, events, and dinner parties.


Tervis will debut a new collection called “Blooming Initials.” The floral patterns will come in yellow, blue or pink with a single, bold lowercase initial in 16 and 24-ounce tumblers, mugs, and water bottles. The company is also showcasing its newest Fiesta-licensed design, the Halloween-themed Skull & Vine pattern. The pattern is described as an elegant, intricate metallic design inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos. It will be featured on tumblers, mugs and wine glasses.


Totally Bamboo will introduce new kitchenware, with a focus on giftables. The company will introduce a Paw Cutting & Serving Board, which is available with a CDU. In addition, Totally Bamboo has added Striped Bar Boards to its collection. Totally Bamboo is positioning them for use with small prep needs, as well as for host/hostess gifts.

Also, a Mini Salt & Storage Box has several uses such as to keep salt or other spices nearby the stove, or to store trinkets in other rooms of the house, the company suggests.


Vandor is expanding its sculpted collection of licensed products, including cookie jars and teapots. Licenses featured range favorites like Star Wars and The Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney Princesses including The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, classics like The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and kid favorites such as Frozen and Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster. It is also featuring licensed salt-and-pepper shaker sets and sculpted mugs.


Vietri is debuting tableware with an outdoorsy, rustic feel. For example, Foresta is inspired by the animals in forests in Northern Italy; it is hand painted on terra bianca in Veneto and is said to be dishwasher safe. Into the Woods features animals in a dramatic light with decorative backgrounds; the artistic nature allows the consumer to create a gallery wall with a series of the designs. It is hand-painted on terra bianca.

Gather will also be among Vietri’s new offerings, featuring rustic elements complemented by embellished designs for autumn gatherings. Hand painted on terra bianca. Vietri is also expanding its Lastra assortment with Lastra Poppy. Said to “bring the warmth of a Tuscan summer to your table,” this collection features bright pops of red and vibrant greens.


Vinotive will be debuting its new Table Tower wine dispenser. The Table Tower is filled by allowing wine to pass through the rain filter, which aerates the wine by releasing the bouquet on its way into the decanting vessel beneath. Made of borosilicate glass, stainless steel, silicone and a slate base with EVA non-slip bottom, the company said the Table Tower can hold up to one full bottle of wine.


Viterra will exhibit 10 new art glass collections. New items include Bauhaus vases in two colorways crafted in a two-bowl technique, utilizing both powdered and transparent glass, and its Carnival containers, with iridescent deep shades of gold, purple and green.


Vista Alegre’s Calçada Portuguesa was created by Brazilian designer Manoela Medeiros, and is inspired by the patterns of Portuguese cobblestone pavement. The collection includes a set of four coffee cups, four dessert plates, a sugar box, a tart tray, and a cake stand.

It is also showcasing Folkifunki by Jaime Hayon, a folklore inspired contemporary tableware collection in which each element stands out as a piece of art, which can decorate a wall or complete a table, according to the company.


Yedi Houseware is debuting The Quilted Collection. Pieces in this white porcelain collection feature a gold detailed edge and a quilted texture. The collection features coffee and tea mugs, saucers, dessert plates and bowls.

Also new from Yedi this summer will be a new cup and saucer set to its New Bone China collection and a six-piece espresso set added to The Birch Collection.


Zak will showcase new classic Star Wars sculpted mugs. These are in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the franchise, as well as the release of December’s Star Wars Episode VII: The Last Jedi. Some examples include Death Star and Chewbacca designs.


Zrike Brands, under its Patina Vie brand, is debuting melamine kids dinnerware sets. There are two sea animal patterns available, a whale and an octopus, as well as mermaid and flamingo designs. They come in five-piece sets including drinkware, plate, bowl, fork and spoon.
