In a letter to the store’s loyal customers, Karyn Miller, owner and founder of Waco, TX-based Gourmet Gallery, spoke of the store’s closing and relocation plans. The store’s last day of business is scheduled for July 31 2016, and is currently clearing out its inventory with a “very moving sale.”
Miller said the store is negotiating a new space downtown and is hopeful to re-open by October or November of this year. Gourmet Gallery specializes in Texas-made products including local foods as well as a vast array of kitchen supplies. The store also offers tailored cooking classes.
“Beyond this date, we will have items at Klaras Cuisine for our dear friends and patrons who frequent our current location. The gracious folks at the corporate training facility of Young Chefs Academy are letting us use their kitchen for some of our upcoming classes,” Miller said in the letter.
The new space will not include a kitchen like its current location, but Miller explained that she is hoping to build a kitchen after the store is re-established or find a space to offer classes.
