On the heels of its 35th anniversary, Gourmet Catalog & Buying Group has announced a company rebranding effort. The announcement was made at the buying group’s annual Start The Year Member Conference at AmericasMart Atlanta.
Gourmet Catalog has shortened its industry branded name and has changed its logo and color palette. It will be rolling out the new brand look on all of the group’s marketing materials, effective immediately. Additionally, the buying group will be launching a new, refreshed website, and has updated its mission statement, as well as its store and vendor promise.
According to Janis Johnson, president and founder, the name change was spearheaded by the group’s communications and branding coordinator, Claudia Conard.
“Long known as Gourmet Catalog, and we expect that to never end as it is our official corporate name, staff and most in the industry have been referring to Gourmet Catalog as GC for many years. We finally have taken the plunge and shortened our industry branded name to GC, and, in many instances, GC Buying Group,” she said.
Added Johnson, “The rebrand was a great exercise for us to not only refresh our marketing collateral, but also develop a consistent image that best reflects who we are and reaffirm our special promise to store members: Through our strong network and progressive solutions, we offer professional services and resources tailored to fit the evolving needs of today’s independents.”
