French cookware manufacturer Emile Henry is debuting its new square pizza stone at the International Home + Housewares Show, scheduled to be held March 2 to 5 in Chicago.
According to the company, the large square ceramic pizza stone from Emile Henry grills up brick-oven style pizzas in home ovens and on backyard grills easily and quickly. The ceramic square with upward sloping edges heats up quickly, changing the process of making homemade pizza from a time-consuming event to a fast meal, as it reaches an ideal temperature for pizza making in about 15 minutes, the company said.
However, said the company, the stone is versatile and can be used for more than pizza. This stone is a task master with its ability to make crispy pizzas and then double as a grill for fish and veggies.
Made in France of Flame technology, this square stone distributes heat evenly throughout the pie, the company said. The result is evenly cooked pizza dough that doesn’t burn on the bottom before the toppings have cooked. Additionally, for maintenance, the stone is glazed so that it is easy to clean as well as allows for no staining or odor retention on the stone after use.
This stone is light-weight and features large handles making it easier to lift and carry. Cooks can cut right on the stone or they can slide the pizza off onto a cutting board. The stone is naturally non-stick and is dishwasher safe. Like all Emile Henry products, the pizza stone is made of all-natural materials and is backed by a 10-year warranty. The new pizza stone is available in burgundy and charcoal colors and has a suggested retail price of $50.
