Emile Henry recently debuted its new garlic pot at the 2019 International Home + Housewares Show. The pot, which will be available in June, was designed to complement the company’s other new release, the storage bowl.
According to the company, bulbs of garlic will keep for several weeks or longer when stored at room temperature in this ceramic garlic pot. The ceramic pot with the cork lid keeps the pot dark and dry to prevent sprouting. Three small openings on the bottom offer ventilation. A garlic bulb’s lifespan decreases when a cook starts removing cloves so the loose cloves need to be used more quickly. The shallow bowl in the cork lid serves as the loose clove home-base, easy to reach and in plain view.
With a suggested retail price of $50, the garlic pot will be available in clay, flour, burgundy, charcoal and blue flame colors.
