Cristel has won a Red Dot Award for the design of its Casteline sauté pan with removable walnut handle. The pan was designed by Paul Dodane and engineered by Pascal Drouville.
With a layer of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel, Casteline sauté pans allow heat to spread throughout the body, not only in the heat-diffusing base, the company said. Casteline stainless sauté pans are ideal for searing meat, even without the addition of water or oil, according to Cristel.
The walnut wood removable handles and the flat glass lid provide an extra touch of design, the company said.
